Welcome to The Things We Love (and Who We Are): a blog on identity, design, and consumerism.

Do we really think we can be defined by the things we love? If so, what do your favorite things say about you? What if the sum of the things we love cannot be defined by a single aesthetic or era? What does that say (or not say) about who we are? Does it even matter? And the chicken-and-the-egg question of: do the things we want & love influence what the algorithm shows us most, or does what the algorithm shows us most become the things we want & love?
