Welcome Back

Have you had that experience where you start noticing a single specific word or number or color appearing and reappearing in your day, like little coincidences, secret messages from the universe, something out there waving a red flag at your face?

Personally, in the course of the past 24 hours, I have been unable to escape the word “expression.” In virtual Google Meet rooms, in randomly chosen podcasts, in the page of a book.

The message ranged from gently reassuring, (“Expressing the unexpressed parts of us leads to relief and release”) to short of being bludgeoned over the head: (“Creativity doesn’t need strategy. It’s about expression! Stop thinking about strategy! What do you want to express?”)

With that, my friends, I think I have found my theme for December:

EXPRESS, NOT EXPLAIN

To express without abandon.
To express without the need for explanation.
To express abundantly.
To express without worrying about polish or presentability.

Which takes me back to the year 2000. When I made my first blog. Then forward to 2012. When I officially created my blog pseudonym-slash-pen-name, Wanderrgirl. The times when I did just that: to express without abandon. Without any agenda or strategy. Just the pure intention of sharing whatever it is that’s rattling around in my head, in my heart.

Welcome back to the Wanderrgirl era. It’s gonna be a little messy, a tad chaotic, probably very all over the place—but if you’re coming along for the ride, I’m happy that you’re here. :)
